Director, Bethany Thramer

Bethany became the Director for the Oregon Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs in 2024 after 11 years working at the state level on expanding access to afterschool and summer programs. She comes to this work with an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, a bachelor’s degree in social work, and a deep commitment to supporting whole, healthy youth in thriving communities. Bethany worked as the Community Relations Manager at OregonASK, increasing partnerships through statewide work groups and cross-sector convenings, as well as hosting regional events focused on increasing expanded learning. In 2015-16, Bethany was selected as a White-Riley-Peterson Fellow, participating in the national fellowship to advance policy in support of afterschool and summer. She was very involved in coordinating state level advocacy throughout COVID and in statewide summer funding efforts.
