About us
The Oregon Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is a nonprofit 501c4 that promotes the development of youth and teens served by the Boys & Girls Clubs in the state of Oregon. We represent 47 Club Sites, having served over 41,000 youth in 2024 through Club programs and community outreach. We work collectively and collaboratively toward a better Oregon that embodies the mission of all Boys & Girls Clubs.
Our Work
While the first Club opened in Oregon in 1940s, in 2000, the Oregon Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs was established to harness the collective power of local Clubs. As an Alliance, we can leverage cost-effective and efficient programs with public and private funds to address the state’s most pressing youth & community issues. Local Boys & Girls Clubs provide afterschool and summer programs, during the hours when kids are out of school and most in need of positive activities, guidance, and a safe place to go.
The Oregon Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is one of 47 state Alliances that support local Boys & Girls Clubs as a subsidiary of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We support statewide advocacy efforts aimed at cultivating sustainable funding sources necessary for Clubs to continue supporting the young people who need us most in reaching their full potential.
Across Oregon, we support youth success and grow student engagement, sharing the message that community-led afterschool & summer programs are critical partners in youth success. Expanded learning programs cultivate dynamic engagement that supports student improvement and the development of 21st century workforce skills youth need to be productive community members. Boys & Girls Clubs offer enrichment programs and impactful opportunities that help young people pursue great futures.
The Oregon Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs works to elevate important relationships built at the state and federal level by amplifying the work of Clubs and partners that impact youth and families in alignment with Oregon’s systems of support.
